Michael and Maja met whilst they were travelling in 2018 and fell in love. In fact Michael told me he knew the instant he met Maja that he wanted her to be his wife. Michael didn’t return to the UK after their travels but joined the love of his life in Norway where he proposed last year. Many of the guests had travelled to York from Norway for the wedding weekend and we had to do all the photography planning and arranging via zoom and email as the couple were living in Germany. The ceremony itself was done by a celebrant as the legal side of things was done in Germany the week before, this meant the couple had more flexibility with readings and the religious side of things. Norwegian weddings are very laid back with the speeches done in an open mic kind of way. You don’t have to have a huge venue to have a fantastic wedding and there was minimal outside space at The York Pavillion. Being a Yorkshire Wedding Photographer I am used to all different shapes and sizes of venues and know how to utilise them to their best advantage. We got some great shots and everyone had the most amazing time.
