Karen and Karls wedding at Bowcliffe Hall was rescheduled due to the UK lock down. They had originally wanted a date in 2020 and a guest list of 150. Choosing to move their wedding to 2021 and because they couldn’t bear to pick who could come and who couldn’t due to attendance restrictions they decided it would best to be just the two of them. They could then have a party the year after for all their family and friends. I was concerned about producing enough photos from the day, being used to guests, preparations and all the bows and whistles a wedding provides. So this was a challenge for me. The first challenge was that Bowcliffe Hall were hosting a Supercar Rally the weekend of the wedding and all the cars were parked in the gardens on the grass around the Hall. You name the Supercar brand and it was there, some bright yellow so not exactly blending into the background. I met up with Karl who had arrived first and he was just as concerned as me, the wedding planners were almost in tears! But, 5 minutes later in walked Karen the bride with the biggest smile on her face. ‘I don’t believe it, this is brilliant!’ she gasped ‘I love these cars I am a real petrol head’. What followed was a short ceremony with the 2 wedding planners as witnesses then hours taking photos in and around the cars and Bowcliffes grounds. There was also an airplane or 2.
