Frankie and Alex live on the outskirts of York and chose the newly refurbished Principle Hotel York for their ceremony and reception. I met Frankie when I photographed her mums wedding a few years previously at Hotel Du Vin Harrogate. The flowers for Frankie’s wedding were Gerberas in white and orange and were perfectly matched to the dresses. There were quite a few people in the room getting ready with Frankie which makes for lovely photos. It can also cause a bit of stress for the bride so took the bridesmaids away for  a while for some photos to let Frankie recentre herself. With the venue being quite a significant size there was lots of running around for me and my 2nd camera Ellie but we are used to that its all good fun, we never miss any of the action. We were in the bar with the Groom and his grooms men, in the foyer capturing the guests arrive and on the stairs and landing getting some fun bridesmaids and grooms men shots. When it was time for the ceremony we all took our places/seats and awaited the arrival of the bride. Unbeknown to us all she had asked both her dad and her step dad to walk her down the isle. I have never seen a more proud face than that of her 2 dads! After the ceremony we do what Yorkshire Wedding Photographers do best, organised the wedding party for photos whilst capturing candid images too before everyone sat down for the wedding breakfast. The shot of Frankie on the black and white floor is still one of my all time favourites and the wedding party danced the night away.
